Two Drinks Worth Knowing About

The Golden Latte and the Pistachio Craze — done properly.

There are two drinks on our menu right now that keep coming up in conversation — across the counter, in our DMs, in reviews. One is golden. One is green. Both are made from scratch, and both are worth a proper explanation.

Let's start with the one that's been around a lot longer than the trend.

The Golden Latte. Turmeric has been used in South and Southeast Asian cooking for thousands of years, and its journey into café culture has been — honestly — a mixed bag. A lot of what gets served as a "golden latte" is a scoop of turmeric powder dissolved in hot milk. It tastes exactly as flat as it sounds.

Ours is built differently. We blend four spices — turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, and ginger — in precise ratios into a dry spice mix, then suspend that blend in oat milk with a house-made honey syrup. Each component is there for a reason. The cinnamon rounds out the turmeric's earthiness. The ginger adds warmth and a gentle lift. The black pepper is the one most people don't expect: curcumin, the active compound in turmeric, is significantly better absorbed by the body when consumed alongside piperine, which is naturally present in black pepper. It's a small detail that makes a real difference.

We chose oat milk as the base deliberately. It's neutral enough not to fight the spice blend, and it steams beautifully — which matters, because this is a 12oz hot drink only. No iced version, no upsizing. The recipe is calibrated to that format and we're not compromising it.

The result is warming, slightly earthy, gently sweet. It's not a coffee drink. It's not trying to be. It's the thing you want when you need something grounding.

The Pistachio Latte.Yes, we know. Everyone has one right now. Here's the difference: ours starts with real pistachios.

We make our pistachio syrup in-house — whole pistachios, sugar, water, a touch of almond extract, and a pinch of salt. The result is something that tastes unmistakably like pistachio, not like a green-tinted vanilla syrup with a pistachio label on the bottle. There's a richness and a slight nuttiness that you simply can't get from a commercial flavour concentrate.

The syrup works beautifully across the menu — in a latte, in a hot chocolate, as an addition to other drinks. Ask your barista. If it sounds good in something, it probably is.
